Hello!

The Moon is Void of Course in Aquarius all day until 11:32pm (MST). VOC Moon times occur when the Moon is no longer making any angular aspects to other planets; providing us time to reflect and re-center, as the lunar energy of feeling and intuition is not being influenced by any other planetary factors.

Misty Kuceris writes of the VOC Moon times, “A void-of-course Moon creates inertia, that’s why it seems that nothing can come of a Void-of-Course Moon. There is no aspect occurring that stimulates the need for action. Instead, you either feel tired or out of harmony with your environment. But, there are ways to use that Void-of-Course Moon. If you accept that you may feel out of harmony with the day, perhaps you may want to pull back and just take the day off. Go to a day spa. Take a walk. Meditate on other events. Or, just rest. You may need it because you over did things earlier. If you sense inertia in your life and you don’t want to do anything, accept it. Don’t try to force things to happen. The more you try and force things, the more you’ll feel frustrated. It’s not worth it…But, life doesn’t just stop because the Moon is Void-of-Course. You may not have the luxury of taking off from work or your family obligations. You may need to attend meetings or take your children to special events or various appointments. So, consider the ways that the Void-of-Course Moon does operate in your favor…It’s a wonderful time to pull back and listen to other people. While you may not hear everything another person is saying at this time, it will sink into your subconscious and surface when you need it later.”

The VOC Moon always occurs in a specific Moon sign, which influences the ‘theme’ of the VOC Moon. Today’s VOC Moon is happening in the sign of Aquarius; the sign which rules friends, freedom and innovation. Misty continues,  “When the Moon is (VOC) in Aquarius you may want to focus on your friends and social connections. In some cases, you’ll wonder what you ever had in common with some of these people. In other instances, you’ll understand why you value some of these relationships. After a while, you may feel that you need to let go of some of your social obligations. If you do, it’ll be because those obligations no longer are of value to you.”

Of course, in Astrology, it is suggested not to initiate anything completely new under a VOC Moon time; meaning no major purchases or beginning something (like selling a house, for example). VOC Moon times can be useful for researching or continuing to work on projects we have already begun while staying open to the various unexpected directions they may take.

There are two other significant aspects happening today. The Sun, which has moved into Virgo earlier this week, is trining Uranus retrograde in Taurus at 10:36am (MST). The Sun also trines Saturn retrograde in Capricorn at 4:07pm (MST). This may be a significant day for some, as the Solar principle of individuality, authority, determination and confidence is creating a ‘grand trine’ (3 celestial bodies, each within 120 degree angles to one another) with Saturn, the planet of manifestation through persistence, discipline and ambition as well as with Uranus, the planet of sudden change, urge for freedom and destruction of the old and outworn. The grand trine symbolizes three planets working harmoniously together. A grand trine in Earth signs suggests our energy may be focused on how we are creating in the material world and with two of the planets involved being retrograde (appearing to move backward in the heavens) we are being asked to see how to re-structure and re-invent ourselves in this process.

I find it interesting that on this day Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla (the leading electric car company), is changing his tune about his rather abrupt statement (Uranus) that he was considering taking his car company private. He now says he will not be doing that. Musk is having to review impulsive ways (Uranus) in which he was operating in relation to investors (Saturn) who were concerned about his announcement. Even though Uranus brings change, with its trine to Saturn (which symbolizes the principal of discipline and contraction) this time suggests we ‘rethink’ and ‘reign in’ perhaps ‘outlandish’ ideas for a more grounded perception.

Kelly’s Astrology writes, “With Saturn trine Uranus, it’s like we each want to move the foundations of our life around. It’s a bit like a puzzle, where you want to move pieces to see where and how they might best fit together. Since Uranus is involved, the cosmos indicates that the way things are arranged is not the way things should be. This means it may be time for a new strategy or structure…There are fresh possibilities budding inside you. Explore your relationship between old and new. Saturn in Capricorn respects the past, but Uranus in Taurus is all about making changes and moving into the future.”

Revelations regarding big changes may be in store with Saturn at its station point (the degree at which it will begin to move direct on September 5th, 2018). Pay attention to insights around how we want to change and rebuild new structures in our lives; specifically related to work, personal value and material worth which can be implemented with staying power once Saturn moves direct in early September.

We are also preparing for the Full Moon at 3′ 12″ of Pisces early tomorrow morning. Full Moons always heighten our emotional energy and symbolize the culmination of intuitive and psychic energy. Especially in a Water sign, pay attention to what we are feeling as there are many messages to be heard. I will post a more detailed writing on this particular Full Moon tomorrow!

Make it a great day!
