Hello,
As the last day of September wraps up, the big news is that Pluto in Capricorn is moving direct at 8:01pm (MST). Pluto has been retrograde since late April, having given us time to reflect on how we take personal responsibility for transforming the traditions and structures upon which we have built our lives. Pluto deals with alchemy; taking something and changing the energy into something else. In Capricorn this alchemy occurs by taking personal accountability, employing self-discipline, hard work and being honorable while transforming structures or emotional (sometimes hidden in our subconscious) patterns in our lives. In its purest form, Pluto in Capricorn is about transforming our lives via releasing fear, attachment, obsession and manipulation of others due to our inability to let go. When we do transform, the energy held in those evasive tactics is released and returned to us in the form of strength and power to focus our energy in productive ways.
Astrology.com writes, “On the personal level, Pluto retrogrades in Capricorn punctuate the slow, gradual process of release. If you’re carrying anything unnecessary, particularly anything that’s unnecessarily Capricornian (traditions, responsibility, burdens, emotional austerity, torturous goals, achievement needs, authority complexes) it may be time for a psychic yard sale. The only way to walk with Pluto is to hand over everything you have. Like magma rising from below, Pluto will burn through everything within you, scrubbing your soul from the inside out with his special brand of chthonic firepower, leaving only the essentials.”
Pluto is an energy which also rules the collective consciousness therefore, this transformation has been occurring on a global level as well. Tarot.com writes, “Ideally, Pluto brings us to the essence of issues and, in Capricorn (until 2024), will lead to a transformation of the social order, one in which the extreme inequities of power and resources are overcome by a burgeoning awareness of our shared humanity. Extreme danger from environmental issues is one less than desirable way in which our priorities can become redirected. Yet as more and more individuals take responsibility for themselves, the power of transformation can come from within and be a consciously creative force for change. When each of us faces our fears and turns darkness into light we can reshape the world with love and hope rather than reacting to pain and fear.”
Pluto also has sexual undertones because of its correlation with alchemy and transformation of energy in order to create balanced energetic expression. Tantra, at its roots, is related to balancing the Divine male and female energies within ourselves. I find it no coincidence that the theme in the Dr. Ford/Judge Kavenaugh hearing (especially with Venus retrograde and Jupiter in Scorpio at this time) is the awareness of how we wield and potentially abuse sexual power; reflective of how the Divine male/female energy is collectively out of kilter between men and women and perhaps within ourselves.
With Saturn retrograde from mid-April to mid-September, we have been getting an extra does of focusing on the strength of our ability to express maturity, integrity and dignity through our personal authority. In fact, seven total stellar entities were retrograde during this time (including the South Node and Chiron) giving us a lot of reflect upon during this Pluto in Capricorn retrograde time.
The Moon is Void of Course all day/night. Taking time to spiritually center can be helpful as we continue to integrate this Pluto energy.
A few other notable aspects; the Moon in Gemini is inconjunct Pluto in Capricorn bringing up possible fear expressed as questioning as to which direction we may want to move forward while Saturn in Capricorn is inconjunct the North Node in Leo is urging us to stay on a path led by our hearts desires.
Be well,
~ Lindsay
