Good Morning!

The Moon remains in Aries today and squares Mars in Capricorn until 5:04pm (MST).

‘The Art of War‘ is an ancient Chinese text written by Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu. Among the various strategies outlined Tzu stresses, “…war is a very grave matter for the state and must not be commenced without due consideration.” This would be my advice today, with the Moon (our emotional response mechanism) in the Fiery sign of self assertive, somewhat impulsive, Aries squaring Mars (the God of War and the planet which rules Aries) in the disciplined sign of Capricorn.

Of course, in nature, there are times we must stand up for and defend ourselves. And when we must, today suggests it’s best to do it with control (Mars in Capricorn). Cafe Astrology writes, “Capricorn is a sign that detests waste of any kind. It also fears disorderliness and “letting go”. With Mars in Capricorn, there is generally a powerful need to stay in control.”

Find the balance between enthusiastic expression of our needs while remaining cool as we go about getting them met. This is a good day for taking action, requiring patience and diligence, in an effort to accomplish our goals. Physical exertion can be a great way to burn off some of the energy of Moon in Aries.

The Moon moves Void of Course until 7:30pm, when the Moon moves into Taurus. Kick back as the Moon is no longer influenced by other planets. Learn to ‘go with the flow’ until the Moon moves into mellow Venus ruled Taurus.

The Moon conjuncts Uranus in Taurus for the remainder of the night. The Moon in Taurus allows us to focus on creating security in the material world. With the Moon conjunct Uranus in Taurus, we may respond to the world with new insight around ways to create financial and material security. At the very least, we may feel an urge for freedom and independence; loosening some of the Fixed nature of Taurus’ need to keep things the same.

Make it a great day!
