The Moon has moved into the sign of Libra. Libra is an Air energy ruled by Venus; the planet which represents relationships, expressing beauty, charm, and seeking harmony; often through communication. The Cardinal mode of Libra brings it drive to get what it desires, while seeking balance between the self and others, and can give Libra a vacillating quality. The statement having “an iron hand with a velvet glove” has been associated with Libra. I find it an interesting description, having a Libra Ascendant myself, as that exact statement was once used to describe me!
The Moon is conjunct Venus in Libra until 12:05pm (MST). This is an enjoyable and pleasant time. We may not be inclined to do much that requires demanding physical effort as Venus has a receptive quality which wants to attract to oneself. The Moon/Venus balances the emotional expression with heightened aesthetic sensibility and can be expressed well through artistic pursuits. This is a great time to enjoy the pleasures of life while contemplating what we desire to feel good in relationships.
The Moon sextiles Mercury retrograde in Leo until 8:09pm (MST). This is the first time the Moon has connected with Mercury retrograde since the Eclipse on 8.11.18. We may be revisiting the topic of ‘balance’ in relationships; specifically related to our hearts desires.
The Moon in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn for the remainder of the evening. Moon/Pluto times can be challenging because the emotions may become volatile. Moon in Libra may not want to ‘rock the boat’ but Pluto in Capricorn seeks transformation of outworn structures.
