Today the Moon moves Void of Course in Gemini and remains there all day/night until 10:01pm (MST). With the Moon in Gemini we continue to focus on intellectual pursuits. Gemini is a mutable Air sign which uses the intellect and can see both sides of a situation; easily changing course. Stay open to change and allow adaptability. VOC times require us to practice ‘going with the flow’ and tuning into our intuition. It can be a good time for spiritual centering; preparing for when the Moon changes signs and creates a new aspect with a planet.
The Moon moves into Cancer and squares Venus in Libra for the remainder of the night. We feel deeply as we seek balance in our relationships. Be aware of excessive emotional attachment and not over-compromising when it comes to what we require to feel secure verses seeking pleasure through relating.
Today Uranus is moving stationary retrograde in Taurus at 10:49am (MST) for the remainder of the year; appearing to change directions from our viewpoint on Earth. Uranus retrograde happens annually for roughly 5 months. As with all retrograde cycles, we are being given the opportunity to review; specifically our freedom seeking urges related to our values and seeking security through money, possessions and relationship. Where have we been overstepping our boundaries or not claiming our true direction in these areas of our lives? We are all being asked to ‘wake up’ to new ways of seeking security in the material world and releasing attachment to jealousy, stubbornness, bossiness or fear of change!
The Astrology King writes of this transit, “You may have anticipated a major change in your life or tried to initiate change but nothing has happened. In this case, transiting Uranus retrograde will induce the internal changes in attitude or behaviors which are necessary to make the desired change possible. Often the changes you seek are to allow more personal freedom. Whatever the case, Uranus retrograde lets you process things internally before you manifest the external change once Uranus turns direct. Another possibility is that you have been disruptive and rebellious, trying to force radical change. Whether your revolution was based on ignorance or the innocence of youth, Uranus retrograde will bring higher self-awareness and insights about the error of your ways. A period of less chaotic internal changes should follow.”
If we have personal planets in our natal chart at 2 or 3 degrees of Fixed signs, we will feel this energy more strongly in relation to what the planet symbolizes and where is sits in our chart.
Venus in Libra trines Mars retrograde in Aquarius at 6:33pm (MST). This is a blending of the two energies related to relationship; the female and male principals of desire. Venus ruled Libra seeks balance and harmony while Mars retrograde in Aquarius takes a back seat; asking us to review how we assert ourselves in freedom seeking ways. This can be a very creative time!
